Leading New Zealand energy management and measurement firm, Energy Solution Providers (ESP), has bolstered its senior talent with the appointment of Martin Gummer into the role of business development manager.

A prominent figure in New Zealand’s energy conservation industry, Gummer brings over 20 years of executive experience to the role, across the public and private sectors, including a stint as chief executive of Auckland Regional Transport Network.

Most notably, Gummer was the founding chief executive of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), responsible for laying the groundwork that has seen it become the country’s preeminent energy conservation agency.

ESP chief executive officer, Jamie Burrows, says, “Martin’s sector knowledge and experience is second to none and his reputation within the industry, from his time at EECA, is impeccable. We’re thrilled to have someone of his pedigree on board.”

Gummer says, “ESP had been on my radar for a number of years, and I have always been impressed with their unique business approach, particularly their commitment to driving real, measurable results for their clients. So, when the opportunity arose to join the team, I leapt at the chance. I’m delighted to be able to assist the company as it continues to grow and thrive.”
