Former New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) chief executive Chris Moller has been appointed chairman of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
Starting on April 1, Mr Moller takes over from Brian Roche for a three-year term.
Appointed by Transport Minister Steven Joyce, Mr Moller is an accountant who has been involved with range of companies and organisations including Fonterra, National Foods, Meridian Energy, New Zealand Cricket and the NZRU.
Mr Joyce paid tribute to Mr Roche, and said his vision and leadership had been instrumental in the successful establishment of the agency.
