Christchurch-based internet service provider Snap Internet has purchased the client base of failed Nelson ISP Tasman Solutions.
Around 2000 customers were left dangling when Tasman Solutions was placed in liquidation on May 18 over an $81,000 debt.
A rep for Snap Internet told NBR the company has 30,000 customers, not including the 2000 coming onboard from Tasman - making Snap the largest independently-owned ISP in the South Island.
Tasman had four staff. None were retained.
Snap, which operates nationwide, was Tuanz ISP of the Year for 2009.
