Damien Grant, of Waterstone Insolvency, is handling the liquidation. A message on the company's website also advises of the liquidation.
Jeffrey James Kay of Ponsonby is listed as the company's sole director and shareholder.
Around 500 people who signed up for packages offered by the company are understood to have been left out of pocket.
Mr Grant was quoted as saying it was too early to say how passenger pre-payments would be handled in terms of the liquidation.
