Fog around Auckland airport refusing to budge
Many flights cancelled, others delayed.
Fog isn't lifting from Auckland Airport and it is going to affect Air New Zealand's regional flights until later tonight.
Earlier today Air New Zealand cancelled 12 outbound flights and 13 arrivals and delayed a further 25 flights.
This afternoon, another 13 flights from around the country due to arrive in Auckland have been cancelled, while about five have been delayed through until 7pm.
Auckland Airport spokesman Richard Llewellyn advises passengers to keep a watch on the airport's website for updates.
"The main delays are happening at the regional end of operations – those smaller planes don't tend to have the fog technology that is in bigger aircraft."
