Fonterra downsizes Studholme expansion 'for environmental reasons'
Should South Island milk volumes grow as expected in coming years, Fonterra will investigate other locations suitable for development.
Fonterra [NZX: FSF] is awaiting the result of a downscaled resource consent application for its Studholme expansion near Waimate in the South Island.
Instead of two dryers, Fonterra has re-submitted an application for one.
The company says the downsized application acknowledges strong opposition
