Giesen Wines has added its first external brand into its distribution business with an agency for Barossa Valley’s Peter Lehmann Wines.

The Peter Lehmann label is owned by Casella Family Brands, which is best known for its success in the US market with Yellow Tail, the first of the “critter” wines.

Theo Giesen says the two companies share many similarities.

“Our wine portfolios complement each other in a market dominated by New Zealand and Australian wines,” he says.

“Peter Lehmann is an iconic Australian brand, bringing a rich heritage and range of quality Barossa wines.”

Giesen will begin distributing a selection of the Peter Lehmann wines to the market, including: Art n Soul, Portrait, Clancy’s, Futures and the much awarded Peter Lehmann Masters series (8 songs, Mentor and Stonewell).
