Global dairy market close to equilibrium

Global dairy supply and demand is “as close to balancing as they have been for several years,” an analyst says.

The global dairy market is at the closest it’s been to equilibrium in a number of years, according to dairy analysts.

Dairy prices gained 1.6% to just over $3000 a tonne at this morning’s GlobalDairyTrade (GDT) auction, with whole milk powder up 2.4% to $2924 a tonne.
