Westcoast Brewing founder Paddy Sweeney takes umbrage at a recent report saying he failed to return phone calls.

He rang to say that he “never runs away from anything” and would have responded if a message had been left.

In 2006 Mr Sweeney raised $4.3 million to take on the big breweries
