A Google Maps tool, which enables people to pinpoint local community providers and how much they are funded, was unveiled by Social Development Minister Paula Bennett today.

A Google Maps tool, which enables people to pinpoint local community providers and how much they are funded, was unveiled by Social Development Minister Paula Bennett today.
The publicly accessible website was aimed at identifying gaps in the sector and allowing greater transparency, Ms Bennett said.
"Using technology to provide this level of detail is a first and reflects this Government's focus on transparency and accountability," she said.
Ministry of Social Development contracts were on the site now and contracts held by the Ministries of Justice, Health, Education and Te Puni Kokiri would be added soon.
