Govt’s Rolls Royce plan for Christchurch tops $1.6b

The cost of the government’s Christchurch central city rebuild is a whopping $1.6 billion.

When the plan was announced last week by Prime Minister John Key and Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee there was no hint about costs.
