Grow Your Own Sandwich campaign is back!

Ploughmans Bakery and Yates seeds have combined again to promote the Grow Your Own Sandwich campaign, saying it provides a rewarding way to grow herbs and vegetables.

Last year, some 150,000 retail packs of seeds were given away to 90,000 shoppers throughout the country.

This year, the range of seeds will be wider at 13 varieties and larger with 170,000 packets to be given away.

Ploughmans Bakery says about 30% of last year’s respondents to the campaign were new to gardening.

So this year the Grow Your Own Sandwich contains a Yates Gardening Essential product range of fertilisers and DIY books as well.

Vouchers for the free packet of seeds are on the Ploughmans bread range and they activate a unique code online at www.growyourownsandwich.co.nz
