The producers price index (PPI) outputs index -- the prices received by producers -- rose 1.1 percent in the three months, Statistics New Zealand (SNZ) said today.

Key influences on the inputs index included a 3 percent rise for wholesale trade as gas condensate and imported crude oil prices rose, meat and meat product manufacturing was up 8.5 percent reflecting higher cattle and lamb prices, and dairy product manufacturing lifted 2.9 percent with higher farm-gate milk prices.
For the year to June, output prices were up 1.3 percent, while input prices rose 2 percent.
