Hirepool has bought McEntee Hire Waikato Portable Sanitation assets, including 300 portable toilets, for an undisclosed sum.
The business, previously the "Dunny Company", was acquired by McEntee Hire about six years ago. Hirepool is buying 400 hire assets and the McEntee Event site in Lincoln Rd, Hamilton. Hirepool already operates a Port-A-Loo branch in the Waikato.
Chief executive Mark Powell said demand for event hire assets was increasing in a region, which hosts events such as national field days and the V8 street race in Hamilton.
It is the first acquisition made by Hirepool in almost two years.
Hirepool made its first portable sanitation acquisition with the purchase of Port-A-Loo Auckland in July 2004.
