A Hong Kong banker who tried backing out of a six-figure bid for a colt at the Karaka auctions will soon receive a bill for $311,393.

Iain Bruce, one-time director of Citibank Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, was the defendant in proceedings heard at the High Court in Auckland
