Hotel profitability slowly improves as visitor numbers rise

Auckland hotel occupancy rose 3.8% to 78.8% on average in 2013 – just ahead of levels experienced in the Rugby World Cup in 2011.

It was a record year for visitors coming through Auckland Airport at 6.9 domestic and 7.9 million passenger movements.
