Charlotte McLoughlin has been appointed Special Counsel at Hudson Gavin Martin, a boutique corporate commercial firm with expertise in intellectual property, technology and media.
With extensive experience in New Zealand and London, Charlotte provides senior level capacity to the corporate and commercial team. She advises clients on sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and employee share schemes. Charlotte has considerable experience in M&A and securities transactions, both public and private – including private equity transactions, a full range of corporate governance, stock exchange and commercial compliance matters.
Before Charlotte joined HGM, she was at Westpac where she led a business team and, prior to that, two of the in-house legal teams. Charlotte was a Senior Associate in Simpson Grierson’s corporate and commercial division before going in house, and spent time in a corporate M&A team in a major London law firm before joining Simpson Grierson.
Mark Heine was recently appointed Senior Associate at Hudson Gavin Martin.
An experienced litigator, Mark’s field of expertise is intellectual property disputes and competition law, particularly in the media sector.
Mark advises clients on commercial disputes including copyright, trade mark and patent infringement, contractual disputes, judicial review, Companies Act disputes, restraints of trade and regulatory investigations and proceedings brought by the New Zealand Commerce Commission and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
Prior to joining HGM, Mark worked in the competition team at Allens, a leading Australian firm and with one of New Zealand’s Leading IP Barristers. Mark began his career at Bell Gully and is admitted to practice in New Zealand, New South Wales and in the Australian Federal courts.
