In the Office and Workplace category architect Jose Gutierrez’s work on boutique market research company Research Agency’s office in a 1920s office building was recognised.
Its unique features like a wall of acrylic panels to be used as a “writing wall” or giant whiteboard, a high gloss black ceiling in the boardroom were favourite features of the monochromatic office space.
Rich lister Michael Friedlander’s Samson Corporation’s Ironbank building on Auckland’s Karangahape Rd won in the Built Environment category for the RTA Studio-designed “sculptural and playful vision.”
The Supreme Court designed by architecture firm Warren & Mahoney was recognised in the Built Environment for its interwoven dome interior with thousands of panels of silver beech and the courtroom embellished with copper.
