The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are visiting the Waikato today. After flying into Hamilton, they split up to carry out separate visits.

The Duchess visited the Rainbow Place Children's Hospice.

Prince William toured Hamilton-based small plane maker Pacific Aerospace.

The couple will reunite later today for a public drive in Cambridge and the opening of the new National Cycling Centre of Excellence and Velodrome.

Kate and William will also lay flowers at the war memorial, and meet the son and grandson of Lt Colonel Curly Blyth, who led the liberation of Le Quesnoy in France, 1918.
