Infratil exits public transport as Next Capital buys NZ Bus

The Australian private equity firm previously owned Go Bus for a couple of years.

Infratil shares traded 2c higher at $3.60 today after announcing it would sell its NZ Bus unit to Australian private equity firm Next Capital in a conditional deal that will net $218-240 million.

NZ Bus runs metropolitan public transport services in Auckland, Wellington and Tauranga on long-term
