The Inspector General says he is satisfied with the Security Intelligence Services (SIS) handling of personal records, including those of members of Parliament, a report released today shows.
The report was a follow up of Inspector General of Intelligence and Security Justice Paul Neazor's review of the way SIS maintains its files, following a complaint from Green MP Keith Locke.
The report recommended personal files be deactivated when someone becomes an MP, unless that person was of security interest.
Justice Neazor's report said the SIS has "good current practices".
