The directors of a troubled government-approved home insulation company are being investigated for possibly breaching their duties.

Wellington-based EnergySmart Ltd, which had offices in Wellington, Masterton, Palmerston North, Nelson, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill, went into liquidation
