Sam Barclay has been appointed chief executive of Inugo, the new parking app company, and he plans to take the pain out of parking.
“Parking sucks,” he says. “It makes people anxious, which is why at Inugo we’ve developed a way drivers can find and pay for their parking easily using our app.”
Sam, a newly-returned Kiwi, has a lot of experience of mobile technology. He has spent two decades in the US helping build mobile retail systems for consumer goods companies. He has been involved in everything from software development to sales and management.
“His experience building and commercialising technology companies in the US, and his focus on solving real-world problems, will help ensure Inugo is a truly valuable help for drivers,” says Inugo chief operating officer Andrew Powers.
“Inugo is also a management tool that will make it much easier for car park operators to run their business and serve their customers better.”
Sam has an honours degree in commerce and law from Otago University, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
