Farming is “in the grips of a period of austerity” driving down revenue at farm retail and livestock trading group PGG Wrightson, says chair Garry Moore.

Announcing results for the year to June, PGG Wrightson reported net profit down 82% to $3.1 million while revenue fell 6% to $915.9m.
