US$2.5b deal will double Xero revenues by 2028, says CEO
Analysts say Xero is paying a high multiple to buy US payments company Melio, but are positive about the strategy and the growth prospects.

ASX-listed and New Zealand-founded accounting software provider Xero expects the US$2.5 billion ($4b) acquisition of a US payments company will double its 2025 revenues by 2028 and deliver on its “rule of 40” aspirations of a growth rate and profit margin of more than 40%.
