Virgin set for ASX takeoff

The IPO is the third attempt at a float, and valuations and the scale of the offer are conservative.

Virgin returned to profit in 2023 and posted improved ebit of A$439m for the six months to December.

Virgin Australia is set to return to the ASX, with owner Bain Capital looking to raise A$685 million ($737m) from selling 30% of the airline.

The move would give Virgin a market value of A$2.3b, with the shares to be offered at A$2.90 – about seven times the expected 2025 earnings.
