An alleged bully at the helm of the Department of Building and Housing has been given a 60% chance of leaving the job before July, according to iPredict traders.

The online political marketplace has opened trading on the departure of Department of Building and Housing chief executive Katrina Bach.

iPredicts 6000 registered traders have boosted trading on Ms Bach’s pre-July departure contract 3 cents or 5.49% higher to 61 cents this morning.

Ms Bach is facing a serious misconduct investigation by the State Services Commission over allegations of verbal and physical abuse towards a junior female employee.

Meanwhile, her job is already up in the air, as the department is one of four to be merged into the new Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in July.

The ‘super-agency' is absorbing the functions of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Department of Labour, the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Department of Building and Housing.

Chief executives of the four agencies are the most likely to be affected. The State Services Commissioner is handling the process of appointing a Ministry of Business chief executive.
