Japan tourist promotion pays off

Japanese tourists have bounced back to reclaim their former place as the fifth largest source of visitors to New Zealand.

The July arrival statistics show the number of Japanese coming here is up 3.8% or 2800 to just over 77,000, surpassing the nearly 76,000 from Germany.
