A luxury cruise line that specialises in round-the-world trips has been sold by its Japanese founder.

Hong Kong-based hospitality giant Genting (GHK) has paid $US550 million to shipping company Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) for the two-ship fleet.
