Private Bin is not sure which is the oddest sight: trendy-lefty graffiti artist Otis Frizzell teaming with John Banks to promote the reopening of a historic building - or the mayor having a bash at tagging it.

After all, the mayor is so straight-edge he usually tacks into the wind to avoid disturbing his side-parting.

But in any case, presented for your photographic pleasure below: Mr Banks, tagging a building.

And it’s a historic one, at that: the old railway signal box and engine room, off The Strand in Parnell, now home to new tenant, Datamine - the software company that commissioned Mr Frizzell’s 80s-tastic graffiti art.

Datamine has leased the building for up to 36 years from OnTrack.

BELOW: Prosecution looming for a cheesy attempt to rip off early 80s yoof culture? Otis Frizzell (son of the more famous Dick) poses with the J-Boy-B.
