Waikato Times editor Bryce Johns has been announced as the editor of the Herald on Sunday.
Mr Johns was formerly the sports editor at the Dominion Post.
Outgoing HOS editor Shayne Currie has moved to the Herald's weekday edition where he services as one of two deputy editors. He began the new role Monday.
Mr Currie became HOS editor in February 2005, succeeding the paper's founding editor, Sue Chetwin.
