Landmark direct deed judgment increases to $2.3 million

The liquidator of a property developer, which collapsed owing Strategic Finance $40 million, has been awarded a further $700,000 interest from Ebert Construction.

Nearly $700,000 has been added to an award on a landmark court ruling which favoured a liquidator in what was believed to be the first voidable transactions regime challenge to direct deeds.

Last year, PwC had set aside three transactions, worth about $1.6 million, made by a property development
