ComCom prosecutes Foodstuffs NI over ‘anticompetitive’ covenants
Supermarket chain committed to not using such covenants, but Commerce Commission seeking court settlement.

Foodstuffs North Island’s use of land covenants to prevent competitors from opening stores near its own has provoked the Commerce Commission into filing legal proceedings through the Wellington High Court.
The regulator said this morning it had filed proceedings against the supermarket company
