Govt $40m rent dispute scheme ‘too little, too late’
Just $190,000 has been spent on arbitration and mediation services in six months.
One of the providers to a government-funded $40 million dispute scheme aimed at resolving lease issues from Covid-19 says the incredibly low uptake was because it took so long to roll the service out.
Last year, the Ministry of Justice said it would subsidise free arbitration and mediation
