SFO opens investigation into collapsed crypto exchange

Dasset went into liquidation last August with significant shortfall between reported level of users’ holdings and amount of digital assets held.

The agency asked anyone who had information that may be relevant or who was a customer of the exchange to contact them.

The Serious Fraud Office has launched an investigation into collapsed local cryptocurrency exchange Dasset.

Digital Asset Exchange Ltd, or Dasset, was incorporated in 2017 and offered its users the ability to buy and sell more than 90 different digital assets with New Zealand dollars.
