Legal advice for a Blue Chip investment falling short

A High Court decision finding that advice given by a law firm to a Blue Chip investor was negligent but not causative of the investor’s loss, has been overturned by the Court of Appeal in APPLETON v TAURANGA LAW ([2013] NZCA 420 per O’Regan P, French and Winkelmann JJ (6/9/2013)).
