A gang of likely lads are battling it out on Trade Me for the latest Sky City charity auction.
The entertainment company is auctioning off a Valentine’s Day treat for a romantic pair to bid their way to the top of the tower. All proceeds will go to one of their official charities – the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation.
Last year one couple got to spend the night at the top of the tower, this year the offer is for a dinner for two on Valentine’s Day in the recently opened private dining room at the top of the Sky Tower, The Glass Room.
A running watch of the auction shows the all male bidders by If you delve into their profiles, one says ‘ through Trade Me I have made many friends and it would be nice to meet you here as well’….which takes us back to the potentiall creepy bit.

In a true display of PR diplomacy, Sky City has, albeit with a determined grin fixed in place, responded to questions including one asking if the prize is still on offer if the company's Chinese staff are on strike during the Chinese New Year. (The answer, yes it is and happy bidding).
