New Zealand leg spinner Greg Loveridge was the test bowler who didn't bowl. He got his one cap against Zimbabwe at Hamilton in 1995-96, but he fractured a knuckle while batting – on his 21st birthday too. He didn't get a chance again.
However, it was a chance meeting with property magnate Sir Bob Jones that set Loveridge on a different path.
After a meeting the pair got on so well that Sir Bob offered him a job as general manager of the $1.5 billion Robt. Jones Holdings. He is now managing director.
Loveridge owns a house in Auckland’s Herne Bay in Bella Vista Rd, which he bought from Kiwi Hollywood star Karl Urban in 2014 for $6.65 million. The house is estimated today at approximately $15m after extensions were approved.
He also has a house on Waiheke Island’s Cowes Bay valued at $2.7m.
2018: $100 million
