Maclean chief executive has pocketed a 2010 Ernst & Young Icehouse Owner Manager Programme (OMP) Scholarship.

Chris Maclean, along with other two winners, will receive funding towards tuition costs to attend the 17-day Owner Manager Programme hosted by the Icehouse.

The Icehouse – a business growth centre – was set up in 2001 by The University of Auckland Business School, The Boston Consulting Group, Telecom and Gen-i, BNZ, Ernst & Young, HP, and Microsoft.

The centre offers business growth programmes for SMEs, a business incubator for start-ups and the country’s largest group of angel investors.

The OMP is part of ICE Bridge – a collaborative learning environment for owner-managers – which helps to identify and overcome challenges and gives them the tools to move their businesses forward.

Mr Maclean joined the company, which employs 60 people, in January 2007 and took over as chief executive in April 2009.

Maria Taylor from The Icehouse said Mr Maclean is “extremely driven” and focused on taking the business to the next level “which makes him an ideal candidate” for the programme.

Maclean provides design, installation and support services for business computers, servers and networks,
