Marsh, a leading insurance broker and risk advisor, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:MMC), announced today that it has appointed Marcus Pearson as Country Head of New Zealand, effective 31 January 2017. Mr. Pearson will report to Scott Leney, CEO Pacific Region, and be based in Marsh’s Auckland office.
In this role, Mr. Pearson will focus on driving client value by delivering Marsh’s world-class risk advisory and risk financing solutions to the firm’s growing client base in the country. In addition to New Zealand, Mr. Pearson will also oversee Marsh in Fiji and work closely with Marsh Fiji Country Head, Daniel Yee.
Mr. Pearson brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the role, most recently as Managing Director, Business Development and Trading Board Member of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Australia. Prior to joining JLT, Mr. Pearson held several senior client-facing roles at Marsh Australia, including Practice Leader, Competitive Strategy, and Managing Principal, focusing on large corporate clients.
