Martin Dalgleish has stepped down from the MediaWorks board, effective immediately.
Martin Dalgleish has resigned from the MediaWorks board to focus on his several other business interests.
The Sydney-based businessman joined the board in 2013 as the inaugural director of MediaWorks Group Holdings when it came out of receivership. He has seen the company through significant change in structure and strategy during that time.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr Dalgleish also “worked with previous debt holders to facilitate and complete a successful debt to equity conversion.”
Ex-TelstraSaturn boss Jack Matthews joined the board in April this year, so Mr Dalgleish won’t be replaced. Board directors will remain at five, with Rod McGeoch, Julie Christie, Paul Lockey and Jonas Mitzchke.
“It has tackled these challenges head-on and will continue to do so under an excellent management team guided by a first-class board … I have every expectation it will continue to thrive and wish it all the best in the future.”
Mr Dalgleish is the chairman of mobile payments provider ingogo, non-executive director of RateSetter Australia, chairman of favourit.com and a director of Asia Principle Capital.
