Michelle Boag got it wrong – Pullar

In a long and heated telephone tirade against ACC, Bronwyn Pullar blamed her supporter Michelle Boag for getting it wrong.

Declining a face-to-face interview, Ms Pullar launched an attack on ACC, accusing it of fraud, lying, making false complaints against her, defamation and repeatedly breaching her privacy.

Asked about her claim against Sovereign Insurance – which Sovereign says was for $14 million to which she was not entitled – Ms Pullar said she could not talk about it because it was “personal, private and subject to a confidentiality agreement.”

Ms Pullar said she could not return an ACC file containing details of some 6700 ACC clients – accidentally emailed to her in August 2011 – because it was attached to her “personal claim record.”

She said she did not know she had the client details until the end of October – about two months before she and Ms Boag discussed her claim at a meeting with senior ACC executives.

Asked why, in an email to ACC Minister Judith Collins this year about that meeting, Ms Boag referred to the return of the client data being “contingent on reaching an agreement acceptable to both parties, which was our understanding.”

“Michelle agreed to that in the meeting,” Ms Pullar said. “I never agreed to it.”

Ms Pullar said she never saw Ms Boag’s email to Ms Collins.

“It’s what ACC proposed. I never agreed to it,” she said.

Ms Pullar said her personal claim record was subject to continuing investigations by the privacy commissioner, the state services commissioner, the Ombudsman and the police.
