MinterEllisonRuddWatts announces its partnership has appointed Andrew Poole as chief executive, effective August 6.

Confirming his appointment Mr Poole says "MinterEllisonRuddWatts has a strong reputation in the market – its recent successes and growth is remarkable.

Mr Poole has led significant projects for the NEXT Foundation, which has a vision of creating a legacy of environmental and educational excellence to benefit future generations of New Zealanders. An example is as chairman and chief executive of the Rotoroa Island Trust which manages a conservation, education and tourism asset in the Hauraki Gulf. He has also been involved in corporate advisory work, consulting in a range of sectors including with a number of law firms in the past 18 months.
Prior to these roles Mr Poole built a successful leadership career in law and professional services, starting as a commercial lawyer and partner, and as the chief executive of another top tier law firm.
Outgoing chief executive Mike Schubert said that he is proud to have helped MinterEllisonRuddWatts advance its market position during his tenure.
