Videos and pictures poking fun at the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been doing the rounds on social media and international websites after it was discovered the new Apple product could be bent.

A video from Unbox Therapy that showed the phone could be bent out of shape with the application of some firm pressure went viral.

Social media was soon awash with people claiming their new iPhone 6 was bending when they put it in their front pocket.

Kit-Kat piggy-backed on the trending topic with a tweet saying: “We don’t bend, we #break.”

Blackberry joined in on the fun as well, with chief executive John Chen challenging people to bend the new ‘Passport’ smartphone at its event launch.

A spoof Apple website also surfaced, pitching the bendable phone as an intended feature (pictured).

The iPhone 6 is notably thinner and lighter due to being made of aluminium.
