Crime lawyers will get pay cuts as the government moves to prune more from the $130 million legal aid bill.

Lawyers will have to work faster on legal aid cases and get guilty criminals to plead guilty earlier.

This should prevent lawyers engaging in wasteful “ticket-clipping”
