The last day of the week has arrived and with it, momentous and sad news of the death of the world’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. 

At 5.30am NZT, a tweet from 'The Royal Family' account announced “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon”.
