This is a supplied media release.

Mortgage Express announces the appointment of Jon Masaga, Mortgage Adviser based in Wellington.

Mr Masaga joins Mortgage Express following five years working in Retail Banking at Westpac and a further four years in Business Banking at ANZ.

Mr Masaga says he looks forward to being part of a team, having access to a wide range of lenders, and helping strengthen Mortgage Express’ relationship with sister-company, Harcourts.

An experienced lender with a strong financial background, Mr Masaga says his ability to think outside the box to help meet his clients’ needs, as well as the desire to build strong and lasting relationships with his clients, colleagues and business partners are his strongest attributes.

“I have established relationships with a number of business partners including non-bank lenders, valuers, lawyers and building inspectors, and believe I can help my clients save time and money,” says Mr Masaga.

“I’m accessible to my clients, even outside of the usual nine to five and over weekends if necessary.”

Already Mr Masaga has had a number of successes helping Samoan and Fijian families into their own first homes, in many cases working with clients in difficult situations who had already been turned down by banks.

“I am one of the few Polynesian advisers in New Zealand,” says Mr Masaga.

“Being able to articulate the process clearly and guide my clients through the home buying maze, ultimately helping secure their dream home is an unbelievable feeling!”

Mr Masaga speaks Samoan and will be providing mortgage lending advice for retail, business and commercial clients.
