The National Business Review is searching for its most creative reader to share its 40th birthday celebration with, filled with Veuve Clicquot champagne.

New Zealand’s only independent weekly business newspaper is opening its draw for all of its readers today, who are encouraged to go on the NBR website and tell how they would celebrate their own weight in Veuve Clicquot. (Click here to enter.)

The comments will be displayed for all to see and with the close of the competition on August 20, NBR will announce its celebration buddy.

NBR managing editor Todd Scott said this competition is a great way to give back to a loyal readership and to align two premium brands.

“The National Business Review team works hard to deliver a consistent level of useful, unique and reliable journalism, to New Zealanders needing relevant up-to-date business news.

“This milestone is a testament to a team which has never faltered in its pursuit of a quality product and has a lot of fun along the way, so what better way to celebrate the occasion than by toasting with Veuve Clicquot champagne,” said Mr Scott.

The winner of the competition will attend an official ‘weigh in’ ceremony in Auckland, where Mr Scott and Moët Hennessy New Zealand general manager Richard Yeomans will stack the Veuve Clicquot on the scales and find out just how much celebrating the winner can do.

“We think there is a natural fit between the Veuve Clicquot brand, the premium product offered by the NBR and of course its readers, so this competition is a chance for all parties to have some fun and celebrate 40 years of NBR in business,” said Mr Yeomans.
