The Bayleys Charity Golf Tournament at The Grange Golf Course in Papatoetoe. Around 20 teams made up of Bayleys staff, clients and friends played 18 holes of Ambrose style golf and braved four seasons in a day during the annual fundraising event.
Proceeds from entry fees, a Calcutta auction and a live charity auction helped to raise around $17,000 towards Bayleys’ principal charity Blind Foundation Guide Dogs. Over the past 10 years Blind Foundation Guide Dogs has been the recipient of more than $2.8 million generated through various fundraising initiatives organised by Bayleys.
Scorecards were tallied at the culmination of the tournament and the team ‘Par 4’, led by Anthony Gyde of Konica Minolta and including Dan Marshall, Mike Steadman and Lloyd Divers, were the victors on the day. The team kindly donated their prize money (around $1776) to Blind Foundation Guide Dogs.
Bayleys managing director Mike Bayley and his team the ‘Bayleys Burglars’ came runner-up.
