Your listening options continue to multiply. NBR Radio is now on YouTube.
Listen to a Heads Up or Last Call broadcast or subscribe via YouTube's website here, or download the YouTube app for iPhone, Windows Phone or Android (which you'll find here on Google Play).
We're aware NBR Radio hasn't played well with all Android phones, taking longer to start streaming than on other handsets. Accessing our broadcasts through YouTube will give Android users an instant audio fix (Tunein's Android app provides a second option).
NBR Radio now as an iTunes podcast
You asked for it, now here it is: NBR Radio is available as an iTunes Podcast.
On your iPhone or iPad, hit the Podcasts icon, search for "NBR Radio" then subscribe to our twice-daily broadcasts. Or you can subscribe via iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC.
We'll shortly be adding an NBR Radio channel to YouTube — which, among other things, will make the YouTube app a handy way for Android phone users to subscribe and listen in.
NBR Radio is already available through Tunein.com, which can be accessed via a PC or Tunein's iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android apps.
MyNBR Radio: on-demand audio and playlists
Whichever way you access our NBR Radio stream, it offers you our Heads Up and Last Call stories free, as voiced by broadcasters Grant Walker and John Stewart. And that includes articles that are padlocked on our website.
NBR ONLINE paid subscribers can access MyNBR Radio, allowing them to instantly access any NBR Radio on-demand, or create their own playlists.
If you're not a paid sub, you can still give MyNBR Radio a whirl buy taking advantage of free Smartphone-only subscription offer (sign up at nbr.co.nz/free; get a full-blooded NBR ONLINE subscription here).
Special feature audio, new shows
Those already onboard with NBR Radio will have noticed a lot more special feature audio lately, from an NBR reporter providing some context and behind-the-scenes gossip about a story to standalone shows like the Weekend Rumble. This week we expanded Property Talk to the line-up and we'll continue to expand.
Currently (with some shuffling launch-mode shuffling underway) we've got:
And there's a lot more on the way.
We think things are coming along pretty nicely. But don't take our word for it. Recentlyh on RNZ, media commentator Gavin Ellis called NBR Radio "A very, very, very good effort by NBR.”
Cheers, Gavin.
